Outings two Variuss Plaices and Whotknot The Cheese and Bacon Tree, mm Sometimes
Pûnkass and I visit the cheese and bacon tree. This is a handy location for replenishment when mice are sparse and manage
to evade me. It is also very dear to us because it was the location of our first dayte when Pûnkass realised the love stuck
in his eyes for me. Sometimes
if we are fortunate enough, we accompany our munching of cheese and bacon with a side dish of moss and grasshoppers. This
greatly enhances the nutritional properties of our diet, mm. After
we have had our fill we sometimes make love pottery under the shade of the cheese and bacon tree. Pûnkass is a very splendid
potter indeed. Counter Tops On
this day I made a hijean allowance (it's good to to let go every now and then) and I invited everyone over to come and play counter-tops in my kitchen.
Pûnkass was busy trying to catch birds to play whilst some of us were seriously gaming, mm. Although
Miss Casey was rather busy watching a mouldy old shell of a spider dangling from a web on the ceiling and Kirsch managed to
catch her out on that count. Muffins
spent the afternoon lolling about drinking nice cups of tea that I made for him, but I was worrying about him lying on the
cooker top, my heart was in my throat most of the afternoon - he's such a dare-devil, mm. Mr
O as you can see from the score board is excellent at this game, he’s a very scary cat sometimes and on more than one
occasion I thought I might need to visit the litter-tray in a hurry. Still, this day is a fun memory, I still chuckle to myself
when I remember falling for that old trick, he gets me every time he does, mm. Just when I think I’m going to get a
dab at him he catches me unawares. Of
course, afterwards, I made sure to thoroughly disinfect the counter tops.
Fishing Proficiency One day I went to Casey’s and we went fishing on Rhode Island. I only managed to catch an old boot, but
it was a DM which was quite handy. I so had wanted to make a fish pie for Punkass’ supper, but it wasn’t to be
and he had to make do with DM stew and dumplings. But still, Casey and I had a lovely day. She is definitely at one with the fish and caught many whoppers. She
told me that next time we go she will teach me how to do the fish whispering that she is expert at.
Would
you look at the concentration on Casey’s face! Such poise she has when
she’s doing her casting and stuff, such a professional and that fishy sure did look very nice. Mr O was very lucky for
his tea that night.
Valley Crucis Abbey I had a very busy weekend, hardly time to put my feet up and have a cup of tea because the next day after I’d
been fishing with Casey, Punkass and I went to visit Valley Crucis Abbey which is only a whisker away from my house on the
astral plains. We frolicked in the fields nearby to the beautiful Abbey, looking for mice in the hedgerow that we might have
picnicked upon, but to no avail. That night Jojo was absolutely exhausted what with all the gallivanting and merriment with Gordon the gooster.
I charitably let her have the next day off, mm and she spent the day sipping
tequila. This
is the first song that I wrote for McFluff. It is rather dark, I hope it doesn’t depress you too much. I am very proud
of my use of French within the song, it made me feel ever so clever. Afternoon Tea An Afternoon at Grandma’s One
afternoon Pûnkass and I decided to go round to see my Grandma because Pûnkass likes the cookies that she bakes. I taught Grandma
everything she knows about cooking, goodness knows how she managed before I came along. We
think that my Granma is a good witch because she has a puppy-dog called Hamish who still has his tail, newts in her garden
which run amok unhampered and frogs who bounce around merrily in her pond. She’s even got a herb garden, but is wily
to the use of nip in her garden – we’d soon be moving in to live with her if she had a supply of that on tap so
to speak, mm. Anyway,
Pûnkass politely demanded that Grandma bake a fresh batch of cookies for our enjoyment. Whilst we left Grandma busily whipping
up her concoction in the kitchen, we thought that we would while away some time boating on Grandma’s handy pond. It
was very relaxing and calming just floating around the pond, letting our paws drape in the warm summer waters, bliss really.
Fergus
eventually lost his temper with us because we were messing up his arrangement of pond weed that he’d spent hours doing.
We soon got the message and went in to see if Grandma had finished baking our cookies. And there were two steaming hot cups
of tea waiting for us too *
sigh * where
would we be without Grandma’s? Hoorah for Grandma’s! They’re
jolly good sorts. Mm.
