After
our trip to Milan and the following press attention and trouble with the police we set off for Chateaux Muffins. We were very lucky that the sea was so
calm. I took the opportunity to do a bit more fishing practise. O and Kirsch had gone on ahead to start the preparations for the Muffins Ford De-tox Clinic and came to meet us
as we drew closer to the shores of Ireland.
There
was still much to do so we all pitched in and did our bit. Would you look at Kirsch hanging precariously over the edge
of the castle with that huge feather duster on the left hand side of the picture! As
I look at this again I can honestly say I’d forgotten about that duster, we did have some fun times with that, playing
at the hilarious game of ‘dab the duster’.
And
as we settled into the Muffins Ford I must admit I did get rather tired of the menu. Muffins was an excellent host, but there
was very little choice.
Still,
not one to grumble or fly in the face of such hospitality, I made no bones about it and kept my thoughts to myself, one must
be grateful for what one is given. And afterall, there was an ample supply of milkweiser and nip round the back to lighten
the confinement.
In
due course, after playing it low key for a week or so the ruckus of the press and police settled down and they moved on to
other matters of concern. I got let off with a stern warning but they never did
return my mango, no.
